John is the owner of 'UK Drummers' and Head Instructor. He has been a professional drummer/instructor since the age of 18, playing and teaching all styles of music. He has played and studied drums in California with one of the worlds most renowned Drum Instructors, Mike Johnston, professionals Dante Roberson, Bruce Spencer & Tim Metz, and also got to learn from the likes of Thomas Pridgen, Eric Moore and Aaron Spears. He has also completed a master-session course with world-class drummer, Benny Greb.
He is an endorsee & Artist of Meinl Cymbals, Aquarian Drumheads and Vater Percussion and plays for the London based rock band, The Filthy Youth, who have played sell-out shows in the UK and America, and were featured in the New York based TV Series 'Gossip Girl'. He also plays for Jazz/Funk Fusion band, 'Mermaid Theatre', solo artist Benjamin Allingham, and The Hertfordshire Concert Band. He also owns and runs the Drum Educational website jvdrumlessons.com.
Tris has years of drumming experience, many of which he has been playing and teaching professionally.
After earning a distinction grade at the Nexus School Of Music, he went on to play in many different bands of a range of styles, such as Pop, Rock, Indie, Metal, and Jazz. Having performed and recorded all over the country, Tris has a wealth of drumming knowledge, and has also achieved a Trinity College London Grade 8 Distinction.
Tris has studied with top class drummers and learnt personally from the likes of Aaron Spears (Usher), Donavan Hepburn (Take That), Mark Mondesir (Jeff Beck), and the legendary Dom Famularo.
Pete has been playing for 10 years, and earned a Higher National Diploma at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London.
He has studied with a range of professional drummers, such as Gabor Dornyei (Thriller Live), Fergus Gerrand (Sting, Take That), and also John Vooght (UK Drummers), with whom he achieved a Grade 8 Distinction.
From these tutors Pete has become skilled in a vast array of drumming styles, ranging from Rock all the way to World Music.
Pete is a multi-instrumentalist, playing bass and guitar -as well as drums - in bands, so has a great perspective and understanding of music from all angles.
Based in London, raised in Wales, John recently graduated from Berklee College of Music in Valencia. During his time at Berklee, he studies a Master's Degree in Contemporary Music Performance with Production Concentration, and was taught by the great drummer Mariano Steimberg and Vibraphone legend Victor Mendoza.
John has played drums professionally for many years and has performed extensively over the UK and Europe. He is a diverse player, currently a member of the Balkan-Folk Experimental Group; Post-Art Ensemble and Soul-Funk outfit; Jupiter's Carnival. He also enjoys playing musical theatre shows and was a part of the Berklee Musical Theatre Experience.
As well as drumming, John composes, produces, and arranges his own music for his project, Frequent Flyers. This ensemble consists of musicians from all around the globe contributing remotely and performing a wide range of genres, dubbed World-Progressive.
Joe is an experienced musician having played drums and percussion for many years. In that time he has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, at Reading and Leeds festivals, and across the UK as a touring musician; as well as recording and performing as a session musician and teaching during his time at university.
Joe has a first class honours degree in Commercial Music (BA) - with a focus on drum kit performance – from Canterbury Christchurch University where he studied many styles of popular music and was awarded the drumming scholarship by Nick ‘Topper’ Headon of The Clash.
Joe currently writes, performs and records with his own band Fish Tank who have featured heavily on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and the BBC Introducing network; regularly performing across the UK’s touring circuit and at major festivals.
